Club History
Founded
The club was founded in Blaenymaes Community Centre where it succeeded for many years, unfortunately, a fire resulted in the venue being burn't down, where the club moved into Penlan Leisure Centre at around 1989-1990.Notable Individuals
Betty Grey
- Won gold at European/World singles level and bronze in the doubles.
- She started playing table tennis in 1939 at the Young Conservatives Club.
- Welsh champion for more than a decade, she won more then 250 cups, along with various other trophies/awards.
- One of the oldest people to carry the Olympic torch.
- Former President of TTW and ran Penlan Table Tennis Club for multiple years.

Growth Milestones
- Penlan Table Tennis Club continued to grow and develop over the years, eventually introducing junior coaching, development opportunities, and a stable player base.
- We established a solid base inside the Swansea District League with multiple teams and division wins across the board.
- Our Junior successes continued to improve having multiple juniors inside the welsh squad to progress further.
Current Goals
- Give members new development opportunities such as through the League, Welsh tournaments, training, coaching, etc...
- Increase our outreach and bring in new members with a range of backgrounds/abilities to the club.
- At Penlan TTC we continue to promote Table Tennis for all levels and abilities. Table Tennis for all, Table Tennis for Life.
